There is energy all around us, and we are deeply connected to it. Few understand this and few can even feel it. Trees, rocks, rivers all have a soothing energy beneficial to humans and more one remains in their surrounding more they benefit with physically, mentally and spiritually. Practitioners of Yoga and Qi Gong like me (though others too can easily if they connect with it) can really feel the effect of this energy while exercising and meditating in its surrounding. There is also connection of our physical and mental health with nature cycles and seasons. even our nervous system is deeply effected by it. I personally feel effect of cloudy weather which gives me headache and sluggishness. Spring and autumn weather is time for physical cleansing and so monsoons too require special precautions. That is why Hinduism has fasting at time of these cycles — Savan ke vrat and Navratri. I also feel effect of weather very closely, as dusty, stormy weather leads to allergies or stomach upset and when it rains after few days allergies gone or stomach gets fine and one feels refresh and renewed. Its like nature wants us to release old things, go through some pain and become cleansed again. Seasonal health issues are actually imbalances of vata, pitta or kapha energies and depending on the individuals body type. One needs to identify one’s body type, accordingly intake foods, condiments and herbs suitable to their type especially in change of seasons to reduce imbalance. If one is sensitive enough one can quickly feel the imbalance in the body if one is mindful enough of body’s changes and correct using right diet and home remedies and again balance the energies.
Shakti is both outside as and inside. We need to learn to absorb shakti from outside in form of nature to be in alignment and to energize the elements inside which will help to activate the shakti inside as kundalini to meet shiva and realize its purpose. All said we need to understand and connect with nature and stay in harmony with it with the right diet according to the cycle, right lifestyle and mindset and not get perturbed by changes as they are just part of life and for our benefit.
